Tanski sentenced … finally

After months of delays and uncertainty, former Harrison DPW boss Bill Tanski has been sentenced to three years incarceration, the Star-Ledger is reporting today.

Bergen Prosecutor: Step up with more DWI checkpoints

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli has announced an aggressive campaign to combat drunken driving.

Drug thug gets 14 years

A drug smuggler who skipped his 2004 trial but was arrested by the FBI last March at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) was sentenced to 14 years in prison, Essex County Prosecutor Paul Dow said recently.

Jersey Journal: Harrison Stabbing suspect may have been drinking

The suspect in Sunday’s homicide in Harrison was apparently drunk as he stabbed Manuel Romero, of Harrison, several times in the throat, The Jersey Journal is reporting on its Web site. Reports: Man murdered in Harrison

A man was murdered in Harrison yesterday, according to reports.

Reports say the victim’s name is Maunel Romero, of North Second Street. A suspect has been arrested and charged in the crime, according to reports.
