Have Granell and Tanelli healed rift with Sarlo? It sure seems that way

Could it be that the major rift between North Arlington Councilmen Al Granell and Steve Tanelli and state Sen. Paul Sarlo, D-36, is beginning to heal? If a story on the Democrats’ Web site, N.A. Today is any indication, it sure seems that way.
Both Granell and Tanelli have attributed statements that in essence praise the [...]

NA Dems come out swinging after NJ Primary

OK — one last post. It appears the North Arlington Democratic Party is using tonight’s primary as an indicator of what might happen locally come November. In a very strongly worded (and cleverly spun) opinion piece, the Dems and their chairman say the lopsided Democratic turnout today is a sign the Borough is a Democratic [...]

On Willie, Stevie, Stevie, Rudy and more

Say, did anyone take a look at the video posted on this site of Hudson County Register Willie Flood fleeing Fox 5’s Arnold Diaz, when he tried to interview her as to how she could hire her son to two paid positions in her two elected offices? The only question that remains is whether there will be initial harmony between the Democrats and the newly elected Republicans. If warranted, we’ll have more here on the blog. [...]

Tanelli: Rid us of EnCap once and for all

NORTH ARLINGTON — With Lyndhurst backing out of its EnCap deal last week, and with Rutherford likely to do the same at the start of the new year — and with North Arlington already battling EnCap in court— the state and the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission need to get the message to terminate the [...]

Lyndhurst joins NA by voiding its EnCap agreement

LYNDHURST — The Board of Commissioners last night voided its controversial EnCap agreement, saying the plagued developer has failed to meet its end of negotiated deals. The township now joins North Arlington, a borough that already voided its own agreement with EnCap. We’ll have more on this story in the Dec. 19 edition of The [...]
